GEFION INSURANCE A/S has been placed into liquidation by the Danish Financial Supervisory Authority (Finanstilsynet) on July 13, 2020. The company's shareholders appointed lawyers Troels Askerud and Søren Aamann Jensen as liquidators.
The company was previously authorized to operate in Italy, but had its authorization revoked on June 24, 2020. The Danish Financial Supervisory Authority clarified that existing contracts are valid until their expiration date.
