The European Banking Authority (EBA) intends to publish a "no action letter" regarding the interplay between MiCA and PSD2. The EBA Chairperson, José Manuel Campa, acknowledges concerns raised by John Berrigan, Director General of the Directorate-General for Financial Stability, Financial Services and Capital Markets Union (FISMA), and will assess the issues with ESMA colleagues, aiming to publish a response by April 2025.

Note: MiCA refers to the Markets in Crypto-Assets regulation, while PSD2 stands for Payment Services Directive 2.
